Good quality hay bags for our horses. It should help them with stall boredom and keep a free feed hay supply for them.

Update—- day 2. Almost all the holes are ripped out on all the bags. Total waste of money. DO NOT BUY I got them for feeding my goats. I filled the bags with timothy grass hay yesterday Jan 31, 2025 for the first time... The bags definitely cut the hay waste. My goats lasted from the evening feed around 5pm til almost 10am today. All seem to enjoy eating from the bags.. My concern is the durability. The material seems thin, the holes are not stitched- just seems to have been cut out of the material, and when loading them this evening I found 1 feeding hole was already ripped a good 4 inches . And I can see daylight from IM guessing where the hay pieces poked or scratched the inside of the bags.. All 4 bags show same wear after only 1 day... I will see if they last but so far it does not look promising. I filled them again today so guess we will see how they do. Ill update if they work out or not...

I have a couple of horses who like to drag hay around the stall, then poop and pee on it, wasting up to 50% of it. I thought these bags would be great for minimizing waste with these two horses. When they arrived, the material was not as thick as I expected, but I would wait to pass judgment until after I used them. I also noticed the holes were not really reinforced; the nylon was just melted to seal the cut fibers.I went ahead and hung 3 of the 4 bags received. I didn't need the 4th (at the time) because my two remaining horses clean up every scrap of hay and don't waste any of it.I hung the first bag in the stall according to the directions. I started with the pony to see what his opinion was. I have used interlocking dee-rings before, but these dee-rings don't "nest" together. The metal of the rings are round which allows them to slide and not lock. The pony took one yank of hay and the bag fell on the ground. I wound up getting a trigger snap to secure the rings together. First fail.I hung the other two bags; one with an aged TB mare who circles in her stall and the other with a Morgan/QH who is just a pig when it comes to his hay.I pulled hay through the bag openings to ensure the horses could figure out how to access the hay. I stuck around the barn for a bit and everyone seemed to figure it out; the pony was highly pissed, though. I LOLed.When I came to the barn the next morning, I went to the pony's stall to see how the bag worked. There was still a lot of hay in the bag the pony couldn't access, even after he ripped one of the holes open to make it bigger.I went next door to the TB Mare and the entire side of the bag was ripped open. And there was still a lot of hay in the bag.I went to the Morgan's stall and his was the only one not ripped open, but about half the hay was still in the bag. He just wasn't smart enough to rip the bag open to get it.Definitely do not recommend wasting your money on these hay bags.UPDATE: I didn't realize it at the time, but it turns out the 3rd bag was also ripped. One of the two straps used to suspend the bag had ripped half way down the bag.0/3 after a single use. No Bueno.
