Be careful what you are expecting. This is NOT a fire or water proof. This is a glorified locking file cabinet. Metal is slightly thicker than what you would see on a file cabinet. Returning this item as the description is misleading and does not fit my needs.

I recently purchased the 4.0 Safe Box, and overall, I’m pretty happy with it. The size is great for storing important documents, cash, and valuables, and the removable drawer helps keep things organized.The programmable keypad was easy to set up, and the backlit display is a nice touch for accessing the safe in low-light conditions. I also like the smart alert feature, which adds an extra layer of security.

The safe was packaged well, received with no damage. At first it looked a bit smaller than I thought. Once I put what I wanted into it, it was larger than I thought. It held everything I wanted, with space for more. Drawers are great. Holds more than you'd think. Plenty of space below the drawers. It is heavy. The corner protectors: I cut the front edge off the front ones, so that the door is able to open, & I put them all back on, so when I slide it, it won't damage flooring, & they don't end up in the landfill. The price is awesome for this safe. Worth every penny. If I decide to get another, it will be this brand & with the same company. Lastly, they have great customer service. I highly recommend the safe & customer service.

Had an issue for which the customer service team reached out proactively and took care of promptly, much appreciated!A few call outs:1. Its price point is much less than the fully fireproof safes. You might want to purchase a fireproof bag to go with it for your irreplaceable documents and cash. (I got one for under $15)2. The door must open beyond 90° in order to get to the drawers. Therefore you won't want to place this in a corner. I think a lot of comparable safes have this design. Just something to keep in mind.3. The metal on the sides and back is relatively thin. It's secure enough but maybe not worthy of your collection of rare diamonds. To be fair, it is advertised as keeping kids and nosey neighbors out, which it will be fine for, and again, comparable with others at this price point.4. The keypad and lock functionality I like a lot - simple and easy to use, and has a key backup.5. The drawers are smooth and a nice touch that some others don't have.
