My current purse hook is metal and heavy, but also the hook piece is short which doesn't help at places with thick table tops. I was hoping this could replace it, but it feels very light in my hand. A thin and light plastic with a padded center to help it stay put. I don't carry heavy purses (usually wallet, keys, phone, and lip balm), so I shouldn't have any problem with this. If your purse is bulky or heavy, this might not be for you.I do like that it comes in a 4 pack, and the design is very cute! I can toss one in each bag of my rotation and not worry that I'll forget to pack it.
