Whatever they put on the sticks to color it green is messy and gets all over your hands, not easily washing off though. They probably should have just used green plastic to prevent that, instead of that messy green dye they used.

I used this to string Christmas lights and garland around a walkway. Worked well for this and was the most economical option I found, though would depend on how firm your soil is.
