Ordering third party parts for espresso machines has, in my experience, been a hit-or-miss process. You never really know what's going to work with your machine until you try it out and taste the results.This filter basket exceeded my expectations and (quite possibly) exceeded the quality of the original filter basket that came with my machine. My cup of americano was superb the very first time I tried it. I didn't use the mesh screen the first time, but I did use it the next time and the results were pretty much the same, except now I had an extra piece to wash. I'm not doubting its claims of making the water distribution more even, but I'm not sure how much of a difference it makes in the actual cup.The only concern I had about using this filter basket with my off-brand espresso machine was that my original basket has a little bump on the side that sits inside a notch in the portafilter. This allows the basket to (more or less) lock into the portafilter. When I used this basket (which has no bump), after removing the portafilter, the basket remained stuck to the machine and then fell off, clanging down onto the drip tray. No harm, no foul, and certainly nothing to make me think any less about this product. Just simply wanted to state my experience in the interest of full transparency.

This kit is for espresso machines that use the 54mm size, which is what my Breville Barista Express uses.The 54mm bottomless basket is a perfect fit for my portafilter that I use. I like to throw the filter baskets into the dishwasher so having a few spares handy is always great.I also clean my espresso machine regularly using the backflush process and using the cleaning disc is required. The one in this kit is pretty much exactly the same as the one from Breville, the OEM one that was included. I did lose the one I had originally but thankfully I have these back in my espresso brewing arsenal.Not much else to say about these two products but they work well. The price is also reasonable and won't break the bank.
