This is perfect. As this is a will-fit part my expectations were that I would probably need to do some modifications to it to get it to fit. I was prepared. But to my surprise and satisfaction this bolted right on, and with a tug of the cord my mower started, and the cord recoiled itself!  I could not be happier.

I have a mower with a 550E series engine. This looks identical to the one I replaced on the outside but the bottom white retaining plate has wings on it and they didn't fit into the the toothed cup without touching the sides. Essentially, after install, I pulled once and it never retracted. I was able to remove the cover plate and sand the edges down a few MM to give it the clearance that was needed. Works now, just be aware. I pulled the part number from the catalog so this should have been a bolt on part. Not sure If I had the wrong catalog or if this manufacturer does it different than the original.
