These gaiters are long enough that you can pull them up over you head so that you are wearing them like a hood. I have a medium-sized head and they are very comfortable.The edges of the fabric are folded over and stitched so they stay folded over. However, this stitching is NOT at the edge of the fabric, so you still have the exposed raw fabric edge. It is not fraying quickly, but it is fraying and snagging on things. I don’t think they will fall apart this month, but I would not consider them to be as durable as if they had been hemmed correctly.Pretty colors, though.
