Why has my electric mirror stopped working?
- Your mirrors might adjust up or down, but not left to right (or the other way around).
- Your mirrors do not adjust at all.
- Your mirrors can be adjusted from the driver's switch, but not via the passenger side.
When a car's side mirror ceases to function, it is usually because of a blown fuse within the vehicle's electrical system. The side mirror uses electrical power to operate its motors and heating elements.
If the switch does not work:
- Press the Mirror switch on the driver's Mirror controller all the way downwards and maintain for 5-8 seconds.
- Please turn the switch all the way upwards and maintain for 5-8 seconds. Then restart the vehicle to complete the match.
Attention:
- Plug in a new switch under full stop condition.
- Clean the dust off the plug and the connector before installing a new switch.
- Following the requirements to make sure Mirror switches are fully functional. Otherwise, the Mirror may have problems moving up and down. The up & down motor drive might even become damaged.
Tips:
- Do NOT spill water on the car door because any water seeping in can lead to internal short circuiting.
- Do NOT put anything in the car window gap. Doing so may cause the window to become stuck, and unable to be lifted up or down. Moreover, the pressure will be transmitted to, and damage the lift motor.

The part does fit my 2001 2500hd, the installation is very simple. I have two major issues with my copy of this switch, well 2-1/2. First major issue is my factory switch illumination lamps had gone out on the big switch and rocker worked. This switch only lights up to the 4 way mirror adjustment switch, and not the rocker. The second probably was my factory switch only moved the mirror up and down and wss a fight to go right to left, this switch only moved mirror right to left. The only thing I can guess is I got a bad switch. I would like for these companies to add tamper sticker to their boxes. Because I think some people are ordering and putting back in boxes if it has issues thus passing the probably to the next customer. So can't be sure it's a quality issue or something else. Now the 1/2 issue the color of lamp is this green/blue aqua color but the window switches are white. This factory switch lights are white.Bummer this switch didn't fully work. The value was correct and fits fine, but just wished it worked.
