It seems like ALL roof vents are made out of the thinnest aluminum available. This one is no exception. I ordered two of these and the manufactrer just tossed them in a big box with some paper crumpled up for packing. Both arrived damaged. But since it was thin aluminum I was able to bend them back into shape with my hands. They installed okay and they get the job done. And they won't be subject to abuse, so they should last a long time. I just wish they made them a little sturdier for what you pay for them.
