In response to the reviews that say it broke on the first pull, I will specifically mention the pull rope is considerably shorter. If you're use to a lengthier pull, you too may break this, I almost did. I wish someone would have mentioned that part in their review. Otherwise, great replacement!

I got this for an Echo leaf blower that was a out 10 years old. This pull cord assembly fit perfectly and makes it easier to start like when it was new.

Broke the cord on my blower, and spent an hour trying to replace it and rewind the spring on my own. Installing this replacement took seconds, and was super simple.

Very easy to install - remove 4 hex head screws to take off cover. Next remove spark plug and - using broken starter rope - push rope into cylinder head. This prevents the piston from moving and allows removal of silver screw on piece- forget name. Use a pipe wrench, large pliers or adjustable wrench to turn left (loose). Install new one, snug down, replace cover, 4 screws, remove rope, replace spark plug.Done in less than 10 minutes.
