We picked up these paints for my grand daughter (let's be honest: and my wife) to play with and make a fun mess that can be easily cleaned up. With one caveat, the paints were a hit. There was enough of a variety of colors, and there was plenty of paint to go around. The grand daughter went to town on the canvas (e.g. kitchen floor), and while, at 2 years old, she is not quite able to stay within the lines, she was at least able to stay on the canvas. Cleaning up was easy; some wet paper towels and a little elbow grease, and voila! The one caveat to this is that the paint containers were not well sealed, and so there was leakage when we received the package. A tighter seal, or perhaps an inner wax paper barrier, would help prevent this. Otherwise, the children (and wife) loved it, so the paints are recommended.

This is a great set for home fun. The containers are small, and the consistency of the paint is pretty thick, like thinned jelly sort of. It doesn't have flow like the bottled types, but it has some texture and is interesting in that way. It doesn't really do the normal responses to typical finger paint techniques, because of the thickness but it's cool for maybe some dappling or finger painting pointillism. The paint washes off counters and hands, without staining. The yellow sticks a bit more to finger nails, but does wash off. What's great about these paints is that they have nice pigment, and pigment density.5 stars

I ordered this set of paints for my grandchildren to use when they come to visit. They absolutely LOVED them! I do recommend using paper that is meant for use with finger painting though. If you try to use it with regular construction paper, it doesn't work as well because it is designed to be used with more slick paper. The colors are very true and there is an adequate amount in each container for multiple uses. If you have never used finger paint before, it has a different consistency-a bit thicker than acrylic and definitely thicker than water colors. That said, my grandkids loved mixing some of the colors together to make "new" colors. I took some out of each container and put a small amount in separate bowls so they could mix them on paper without ruining each separate color. The best part of all is that the paints are WASHABLE!!

As a retired teacher of children in special ed, I am used to finger painting with pudding tinted with food coloring, so this is a BIG step up for me! I must say I have NEVER gotten such beautiful color intensities and luminosities with puddings!I find these finger paints very nice. I did open one up and touch it and it feels …. Well, sort of like thick pudding! Easily spread, clings nicely to your chosen paint medium; slips and mushes together well into all of the different color combinations of the rainbow—-these are a pleasure to work with.In my classroom,, however, one set of these pots of finger paint would last for one session and one project for one student, so I think I will have to stick to pudding when my grandchildren come over once these are used up.But they ARE, like I mentioned, a HUGE step above puddings, and if the saturation, luminosity, and intensity of color beckons to the REALLY SERIOUS artist in you or in your child,This is a wonderful product in which to invest! P.S. Your artwork will be framable, too. Pudding paint gets moldy over time, but THESE pieces of artwork painted with Amazaque Luminous Finger Paint are eligible to become heirlooms that you can safely keep forever!

Credentials: I am a mmm to 3 and a former preschool teacher. I'm also an adhd girlie with an arts and crafts addiction.Let's get into it: these are excellent finger paints, they have a VERY smooth and pudding-like texture, the colors are vibrant and buildable but don't have too much opacity on the first swipe, it's much better than say, watercolors but you bc an still see the design underneath if you're working over a coloring page. The paint dries relatively quickly and wipes off perfectly with baby wipes, leaves no visible trace or stain on the skin and despite my kid's eczema and extensive allergies and extremely sensitive skin, no reactions at all for anyone. These are QUALITY kid paints, and I am very happy and excited to add them to our art cart.
