The universal mounting clamps fit rectangular crossbars up to 5.5" wide by 1" high or round crossbars up to 1.5" in diameter. Soft rubber padding inside the carrier safely grips your skis or snowboards without scratching them. The rack worked nicely the one time I used it, but after removing the skis, the locks froze after getting wet with snow. I therefore avoided reusing the rack to avoid having the skis get trapped in the racks because of frozen locks. So ultimately these are not useful at all to me.

The product is good it serve its purpose but it needs an improvement specialy the clamp as one of the clamp cracked when I tightened it up.

Great alternative to the 2 major brands. Quality seems to exceed price. Fit well on Jeep oval cross bars.

Overall I was pretty happy with this for the price, it gets the job done and wind noise wasn't bad at all. Mounted onto my 2019 Subaru Forester crossbars just fine. My biggest complaint is that after the first trip I took to the mountains some of the bolts have already started to rust. It was rainy on parts of the trip, and of course up at the slopes salt was on the roads because I was travelling to a snowy location as one does with a ski rack. These pictured bolts are already rusting which is pretty disappointing.

The ski rack is sturdy & good build quality. It looks great on my suv & gives it a utility look. Size is nice & plenty of room for skis for everyone in the vehicle. The only thing I wish it had was easier to remove & install brackets. This literally bolts to the cross bars with hex keys & nuts when others have easy release clamps that make taking it off & on easier. I have several accessories I use for my cross bars & it takes a lot of time & effort to install & remove these. So these are great if you want them on there permanently or for long periods of time. But if you take things off & on your roof rack consistently. Maybe go with another option.

Liked how easy it was to install, but with two adult snowboards secured back to back (side to side would never fit), it was almost impossible to close and lock. We got it closed, and made it to the mountain, but at sub zero temperatures, we couldnt get the rack to close even without the boards! We had to slam it shut while it was empty just to keep it closed.. and the boards were way to thick for it. We didnt bother. We drove with the board inside the car and its a good thing too, since when we got home, one of the racks was wide open and we were driving with it that way the whole time. These went back. No thanks.

I usually wait a few months before reviewing a product but I am writing this review after installation. The ski rack is for an Infiniti QX50. The installation was straight forward. This is a standard rack. It doesn't slide out from the base to give you access to your skis when installed on a full size vehicle. It is perfect for a small SUV or car. I put a snowboard and a pair of skis in the rack. I pulled the skis from the side of the vehicle and the entire vehicle started rocking. The ski rack is heavy duty. The lock is fixed lock. More expensive brands have removable locks but.....they are a lot more expensive. I ski about 100 days a year and I don't have the time to switch ski racks on vehicles so every vehicle has it's own ski rack. I think this rack is perfect for my QX50. I will update sometime in December.
