Bought for a 2004 Ford F-150 FX4 (5.4 Triton, 4x4)Overall, the quality was ok. I’ve never had issues with A-premium parts in the past, but be aware that you’ll need to modify these when installing them. Welds looked alright. And everything mocked up good for length. That is about the extent of the good.1. The flange plates look and mount differently when trying to mate them with the exhaust manifolds. It’s an obvious difference; these are flat with a cantilevered edge that pushes on the socket to seal on the ball of the manifolds, and the old ones had an offset flare to seal them.2. Not only do the studs on the manifold have flares on them to prevent the flange from seating the socket onto the ball of the manifolds, but you have to bore the bolt holes on the flange plates to 11/16” so it will slip over the studs and you can install nuts….that you have to buy elsewhere.3. I’m not sure what the hardware is for, but the bolts are incorrect, the nuts don’t fit anything on the truck, and there are no places to put the donut gaskets. The springs are for a totally different application. I’m unsure why they even sent hardware. In addition, you’ll have to either reuse an old rusty clamp from the crossover section, or buy a new one., and you definitely have to reuse the double clamp from the muffler section.4. When installing, I’ve found that the socket (where the converter pipe bolts to the manifold) bottoms out before sealing against the ball connection on the manifold. You have to shave 1/8” off the socket in order to achieve a seal….the passenger side is worse.Overall, I’m pretty sure you need to be a machinist or fabricator to get these installed. I’m sorry I couldn’t have anything better to say. For the price, I feel like I was ripped off.
