If you're looking for peace of mind at home, this security lock does the trick. It's sturdy, easy to install, and incredibly reliable. The sliding snob makes it simple for kids and elderly family members to use, while the cylinder lock adds another layer of protection. Whether you're preventing break-ins or just child-proofing, this lock is a smart investment for any inward-opening door.

I had an older version of this item. It started being more difficult to release, as my door frame swells in humid weather. So the lock that is supposed to slide up and over was getting stuck to the door. I have to lean on the door to line it up and get the lock to move. Sounds like a fire hazard to me. So I ordered this one, and I like it a lot. No more lifting a stuck lock. I push the nob up or down and the lock turns on a hinge. The only part I worry about is losing the key for unlocking it when it's deadlocked. It comes with 2 keys per lock, so 4 keys. I say get it, especially if you have kids. The functionality is fantastic. Great value and give you peace of mind.

Confusing item. Instructions are confusing.

This unfortunately didn't fit on the door we originally bought it for so we used it on a different door. Works great and comes with 3 keys

Pros:- The package includes two locks.- The only way to lock and unlock the lock are the keys. The package includes three keys. The slider will then be able to move up and down to release the latch.- The material is made out of zinc alloy.- It’s a good lock to stop children from opening doors.- You will have to install the locks via screws. It can be strong enough to stop some force, but nothing like a battering ram.Cons:- The lock only works for inward opening hinge door, so make sure you try out your door first before buying.

This set of two door reinforcement locks is solid and well made. It's easy to install and makes my flimsy apartment door feel so much more secure. My only concern is that if I use the locking feature button at the top (in addition to the sliding lock) and then lose the key, I could lock myself inside. It's conceivable that the locking button could be hit accidentally, too. As I don't need it to keep anyone in (young child, confused elderly family member) I would rather not have that risk (however small), I will use the other reviewers idea to glue the key in place, therefore preventing that scenario from ever happening. The lock itself has a matte, silver tone finish and goes well with my brushed nickel hardware.

This is exactly what I needed to have a lock for a balcony door in my kids room. He's 6 and will put a piece of furniture against the wall to reach a non-lockable safety latch. This, however, requires a key and now he can't get out onto the balcony by himself. It's an easy install and has two separate silicone pads for different door/frame depth options. The only drawback is the screws it comes with have smaller diameter heads than they should. The silver screw in the picture is what it comes with and the black ones are what I bought and used instead.

Much sturdier and heftier than the other security lock options. I order this one and one of those that are listed for $9-$12 and this one was considerably heavier. I didn’t even care to open/try the other lock since the packaging was so light and felt cheap. This one was also easy to install and feels so much safer/stronger. Very happy with this product. Highly recommend.
