The All American Sharpener Model 5005 Gen 2
The Model 5005 Generation 2 will adjust and lock at angles from 15 to 45 degrees, in 5 degree increments. The 15 degree setting is the lowest angle needed to sharpen the mulching section of a bi-level mulching blade, and the 45 degree setting is the maximum angle needed for some mower blades that tilt downward in the cutting section. If you want the most versatile model that will handle the most blade types, the 5005 is for you.

15°-45° Adjustable Lawn Mower Blade Sharpener for Right and Left Hand Blades
The All American Sharpener 5005 will quickly and easily sharpen lawn mower blades. This sharpener can be mounted to a benchtop or held in a vice. The unique design has a vice head to hold the mower blade and an articulating arm to attach the grinder. The arm holds the grinder and ensures the proper sharpening angle each time. The All American Sharpener 5005 includes 4 pins to connect a standard 4-1/2-inch angle grinder. The pin screws into the threaded port where the handle is usually secured.
The All American Sharpener 5005 takes the guesswork out of blade sharpening and results in a consistent and even grind every time. Blades can be sharpened in a matter of seconds once tool is set up. The sharpener can be mounted (bolted or clamped) to almost any surface. The All American Sharpener 5005 can be easily removed from the mounting bracket for storage.
• Used blades and previously ground blades can be brought back to like-new condition.
• Pivoting head allows for sharpening mulching blades.

I've been grinding my mower blades with an angle grinder for the past 5 years. Although I could get a nice edge on it, the angle was always way off. I decided to splurge on the All American jig and I have to say it is just plain AWESOME!. It took less than 20 seconds to get my blades to a perfectly sharp 30-degree angle. I don't know why I didn't buy one of these earlier. On a side note... I am aware that there are some "knock offs" available from China on Amazon. I can't speak for the quality of the knock off but the All American is nicely crafted and the thought of enriching some Chinese company at the expense of an American company is just plain wrong.

I bought the A.A. Sharpener after i bought a knock off brand. This unit is built witth solid S.S.arms, not hollow onces like the knock off. It is stable as you used the grinder to sharpen blades and the after sharpening 4 sets of 3 blades, i checked the angle of the grind. All of the angles came out at 30 degrees as set on the scale. It is expensive, but as they say, you get what you pay for. An xcellent product that should last a lifetime.

Well built and works great. I have a variable pitch blade and this made a nice straight sharpened edge with the adjustments. Fit my Milwaukee m18 grinder with 4.5” flap disc. The blade was beat and this restored it to like new.

I have both,, knockoff, and the real deal.. All American... HUGE build quality difference.. All American wins hands down, solid, heavier, tight joints, accurate angle scale.. Knockoff is loose fit, had to clamp angle bracket to base.. angle scale inaccurate, uses tubing for arms, with plastic joint... All American soild aluminum

The cost of this jig is a serious investment considering it is only good for lawnmower blades. However, it is well built and makes the perfect sharpening a breeze.

This is a top quality blade sharpner that will last a lifetime. I couldent be more happy with my purchase. The materials and build quality are impeccable.A few years ago I bought one of thoose $60 made in China knock off sharpeners. It was of poor quality and only lasted 2 years before one of the bolts snaped not to mention the bending support. The material was low quality and fit and finish poor. It looked great in the photo but the actual item was poor quality.So I decided to go for quality this time and the difference is like day and night. It is like comparing a Ferrari to a Yugo. Don't waste your money on the $60 junk sharpners since it will cost you more money in the long run. Not to mention frustration.

I researched the daylights out of various blade sharpening tools and devices. After scouring through dozens of different reviews and options I began looking deeper into this All American Sharpening Jig. It's expensive and I was on the fence but decided to take a chance on it. I'm so glad I did. This is a high quality, precision piece of American made equipment. It's impressive! I just used it for the first time a couple days ago and I know this will be a lifetime product. It's small, compact, solid, and exact Absolutely impressive in its function. I use it in conjunction with the Oregon Lawnmoer Blade Balancing Device and these two pieces of equipment (along with a good grinder and flapper disk) will have you sharpening mower blades like a pro. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this fantastic product.
