I have a basement that is very shallow relative to the sewer drain, so this piece is very helpful. It does not appear to be built out of Schedule rated PVC, which may pose a problem for some building departments. However, for a DYI or RV, this can be very helpful. It does include all the pieces you'll need to connect to a floor drain on one end, and the main drain pipe on the other. Personally, I probably won't use the flex pipe, but will substitute regular PVC, as the flex pipes can trap debris. Since my pipe will be buried in concrete, I don't want that problem in the future. In an RV or application where you will still have access to the flex pipe, that will be less of a problem.

Not ‘commercial’ quality, but it really solves a problem for weird space problems. I had to retrofit a new tub into an old space, and this was the solution. The new tub sits lower to the floor than the old cast tub, and the ceiling below was too close. Either use this shallow drain adapter, or lower the basement ceiling….. This adapter works great!

PROS: fits in small places where a normal trap would not have enough clearance. Flexible for difficult install locations.Includes pipe tape. If there is absolutely no other way to fit a trap, this is probably the only game in town.CONS: The same thing that makes it perfect for tight spots such as install on an RV also makes it a risk if you install it in a house where there is no access in case of a problem later. The material is too thin and flexible for the location I wanted to use it while changing out a tub for a walk-in shower. Would it fit, Yes. Would I trust it? No, it is just not sturdy enough for a permanent install.Summary: I cant recommend this for a hard to reach location. If using under a kitchen sink to reclaim more room for other stuff then it is perfect.

My new bathroom cabinet has drawers and I will finally have some space under the sink. However one of my drawers needs to be cut because of the drain system. This little device really changed that. I was able to install it without cutting out the drawer back and because of the flex system it was very easy to install. The drainage is the same as before and I think it will block odors just fine. I shined a light and saw that it does hold water well to block odors. Clever design.

I had to build a riser in my bathroom to run the drain across the room to the existing old cast-iron plumbing that exists in this old home instead of redoing all the plumbing in the basement. I just got this low profile drain extension and it helped me out tremendously on time and money Very easy to install. The quality is nice. It’s built well and the size is very compact and can fit into tight areas.END RESULT; it is a good product

You know that moment during a bathroom reno when you realize your brand-new freestanding tub’s drain has all the clearance of a limbo stick at a bodybuilding contest? Enter this stretchy little plumbing hero that bends, flexes, and contorts like it’s auditioning for Cirque du Soleil—minus the spandex. This low-profile 1.5” P-trap is like a yoga instructor for your bathtub plumbing. Need to make a tight turn around a drawer, floor joist, or your own DIY regrets? No problem. It snakes its way through tight quarters without the typical tantrum you'd expect from rigid PVC or metal traps.Setup is suspiciously easy. It includes sealing tape and rubber rings—translation: it pretends to be a professional plumbing job while sparing you from screaming at YouTube tutorials. The install process? Twist, stretch, seal. No tears, no profanity-laced Home Depot runs. The material is... well, let’s call it “pragmatic.” It’s not industrial grade, but it’s also not trying to plumb the Eiffel Tower. For low-pressure household setups or RV showers, it’s great. Would I bury it behind drywall and trust it until retirement? No. Would I slap it behind a drawer to stop shaving my knuckles every time I open it? Absolutely.Final word: If your plumbing puzzle looks like a Tetris fail, this drain kit is the bendy little cheat code you didn’t know you needed. Just don’t expect it to survive the apocalypse—unless your apocalypse involves nothing more than a minor water leak and a sigh of relief.
