Heavy Duty Weatherproof Flanged Bulkhead Connector
Passing battery cables through a bulkhead panel or firewall can be a pain at best and can be dangerous if not done properly. With the heavy duty weatherproof flanged bulkhead connector from R2X Racing, you can safely route power from one side of a panel to the other while keeping it protected from the elements.
The glass-filled nylon body has a flange with 4 mounting holes to secure it to the panel with screws or bolts, depending on your application. The included fiberglass reinforced silicone gasket seals the flange to the panel and keeps water, dirt, and debris out. The included rubber insulator boot fits cable sizes from 2 AWG to 2/0 AWG and fits snugly into the groove on the connector. The insulator boot has a IP65 weatherproof rating and meets USCG, ISO and ABYC safety requirements for energized terminals.
The connector itself is easy to install. Simply drill a 1.375" hole for the main body of the connector and 4 small holes to match the mounting flange. The copper core of the connector allows for high energy transfer with little loss. Because of the flanged mounting design and nickel-plated steel shaft, this connector allows for higher torque than conventional bulkhead connectors with brass shafts. The connector is continuously rated for 440 amps at 12 vdc and can handle a maximum of 550 amps at 12 vdc for up to 12 minutes with an 80% duty cycle.
The red connector and boot are ideal for positive power cables.

The body is made of glass-filled Nylon and isolates electricity for safe use.
Solid Copper Core
Rated for 440 amps @ 12V, or a maximum of 550A @12V for up to 12 minutes, with an 80% duty cycle.
Nickel Plated Steel Shaft
The nickel-plated steel 3/8" shaft allows higher torque than conventional bulkhead connectors with brass shaft.
Weatherproof Insulator Boot
The insulator boot has a IP65 weatherproof rating and meets USCG, ISO and ABYC safety requirements.

Built my own 412 ah 12v lifepo4 attery for my rv. These terminals were perfect. A little spendy, but heavy duty and safe. We'll worth it.

Installing these as a bulkhead pass-thru where I need connector covers for both sides - the weather side and the inside to prevent accidental shorts.It would be nice if I could order a pair of covers I would be sure would fit tightly and potentially as a replacement should something happen to the original.

I used this to bring power forward through a bulkhead and it works and looks great! You just have to heed the warnings on proper torque for the passthrough bolt. I swapped out the included bolts and used Nylon lock-nuts for securing the cable lugs.
