This was super easy to put together. My wife was able to figure it out all on her own before I got home for work. The included construction costume accessories were nice to be included and add lots of fun. It is all lightweight plastic, so the durability is questionable. On the other hand, being lightweight means it is harder for a small child to hurt themselves if it were to fall over on them or something else. The mechanics of the scoop are super cool, but they are a little tricky to figure out (especially for small kids, but even for me). My nephews love this for sure.

I ordered this as a replacement for another brand that both of my boys played with until it broke. This is a great substitute and they have been bury using it to dig up holes in our backyard. My children are 8 and 4.5, and this is definitely a bit lower to the ground than our other one, and is probably meant for a younger child (toddler, maybe?). But it's so fun that even my tall 8 year old wants to use it, and it's able to support his size and weight.

This little excavator is absolutely perfect for my toddlers to play with. It was easy to assemble in only a few minutes. The plastic is good quality and feels very durable. The toy itself is easy for both of my toddlers to figure out how to use the boom and bucket. It is the perfect size for little ones to be able to ride on it and move around. My kids absolutely love it.

This toy excavator is a big win in our house and not just because it is massive and cool-looking. The fact that the arm really moves and the hatch rotates makes it feel like a legit construction vehicle. My kid wears the helmet like it is part of his uniform and uses the little toolkit to boss around invisible coworkers. It comes with all the accessories you need to make a full dig site wherever you go. We have used it in the backyard, the sandbox at the park, and even indoors with kinetic sand during rainy days. The materials feel sturdy and have held up to some pretty enthusiastic digging. It does not need batteries which means no constant beeping or annoying sounds, just good old-fashioned play. It is super portable and lightweight, so we bring it on playdates too. If you have a kid who is into construction, dirt, or just scooping things up with a big claw, this thing is pretty much guaranteed fun.

With all the technology and toys that are out there now, sometimes it's nice to go back to just a simple design that allows playtime without noise from fake engine sounds or lights flashing nonstop for 20 minutes. this is what you get with this excavator. Will it last several years? I doubt it. It's made from ABS plastic (I'm guessing), just like some of the outdoor ride on toys, but with thinner walls. I don't think it's last too long in the sun before becoming brittle, but for now, that's where it's at as our little one tries to dig up dirt while I use the real tractor and front-end loader to do the same. The design is very plain and could use at least maybe a seat, but it's so simple that a caveman could do it. The excavator arm has the handle, shown in the photo, which allows a few movements to gather dirt, or whatever. Trying to get a ball didn't work well without the thumb portion of the bucket. If you drop something on it, it'll probably crack, or if it's thrown off a dirt mound, but for normal use by a young toddler, it should provide entertainment and an opportunity to pretend their digging a trench or building a house. It's very simple to assemble, just a couple of snaps. I never did find the 4th screw though for the bottom scraper pieces. The nice addition of the hand tools was a big hit, although the helmet that came with it would be something I'd use for chips or to scoop mud instead of relying on it to stay on someone's head. The tools are good replicas of the real thing, without introducing tools that will turn into wall breakers.Overall, I'm happy with this. I know it would last forever, but it's simple and easy to maintain without relying on batteries, rain, or wires coming loose.
