bought 5 years ago as a gift for my brother. lasted him through welding school and well onto the job site. kept his face pretty/unburned, and has a cool graphic not that its super important for ppe to look cool. he just asked me where i got it so he could get more so i guess it was a good purchase.

I honestly thought this was going to be some Chinese crap (like the rest of Amazon) but I love this. As a landscaper, this beats putting on sunscreen.

I purchased this for use while working in a particularly windy desert location. I wanted something to prevent me from breathing in the airborne dust and sand while also meeting my employer’s FR requirement. This did the trick. My only complaint is regarding the small metal strip that’s sewn into it. It’s meant to hold the gaiter in place on your nose, but I found it to be uncomfortable. It’s easy enough to remove, though. Overall, this is just what I was looking for but just had the one minor problem.

Esperaba algo mejor, el material es delgado, con la primera lavada sé le cayó la etiqueta y el estampado sé ha ido degradando.

Been using it for a bit now and even with sparks and Slagle raining on me it's holding up top!

Although I wear it welding, I can't speak to it's flame resistance as I don't believe I've had any spatter contact. However, it's so comfortable and effective, that I wearing it any time I'm mowing, weed trimming, or kicking up dust and pollen. The material is very breathable, but also effective at filtering out some particulate, as evidenced by the dirt build up around the mouth/nose section. The adjustable nose piece is great as well. It's sturdy enough to make a secure fit, but flexible enough to not be uncomfortable if using it as a neck cover alone.

This is the second Benchmark FR product I have bought and like the benchmark jacket I’m also happy with this product. The quality is good but that’s to be expected when this is made in USA

This is NOT your nylon face covering. It’s thick and won’t melt to your face like those other ones with the designs you might be looking for. Sure these have cool designs but they tend to stretch out and not sit well on your face after swearing and adjusting it throughout the day. It’s GREAT for keeping sparks off your face and neck while welding but if you’re just looking to wear it as a fashion statement when you’re just the fire watch helper, get something else and let the big dogs play.

Just want to let people know items is a described and works great. Very breathable and helps protect against wind, sand and gusts while on trails. Currently been using it to protect while out at stores. For the people that don't realize, this product is not completely fire proof. FR clothing means that the garment’s flame-resistant properties ensure it will resist catching fire, and if it does catch fire, it will not continue to burn once the source of combustion is removed. Flame-resistant clothing can and will burn when introduced to open flame from a flash fire, arc flash, combustible dust explosion or other fire sources. Remember, FR clothing is NOT fireproof. It is after the flame source is removed, that the FR “magic” happens. Flame-resistant workwear will not contribute to the severity of burn injury.Compared to Non-FR clothing, clothing that is not flame-resistant does not resist ignition, and once it has caught fire it will continue to burn until it is extinguished (ex: stop drop and roll, fire extinguisher) or until all flammable material has been consumed and there is nothing left to burn.Hope this helps.

This thing is holding up pretty good so far. I use to protect my beard from rouge sparks and slag... Even with my shield down, today, I ended up with a fleck of metal fused to my forehead just above my glasses. But, my beard is still unscathed...Just a little update: I recieved my first one Aug 15, 2019. The one on the left, this after near daily use for almost a year. And washing once a week. I recieved the one the right Aug 7, 2020 (photo is after one washing). The only noticble difference is the tags. I actually prefer the older sewn on tag. Only because it is useful for locating the front while having it around my neck.

I bought this for work - tree work along lines - and it has been terrific. I've been wearing it regularly for the past couple weeks. The fit is snug around my nose, not tight though, so it doesn't slide down & it's kept the dust out of my mouth. The neck area is looser & not restrictive when I move, it doesn't get caught up & twisted. It's comfortable to wear right out of the box & the stitching doesn't get in the way of other PPE. Compared to other PPE face products I've used this is the winner.I was the tester for this and now we're going to order more for the rest of the crew.I've worn it a couple days/week, most of the day each time. There is good 4-way elasticity, the fit is far superior to a bandana from a comfort stand point. I has not stretched out. The fit is snug, not tight or restrictive, around my nose and gradually expands (gets looser) and it approaches my neck. I notice it when I first put goggles on but it doesn't get in the way. I don't have any issue breathing when wearing it. I wash mine every other day or whenever I have a chance which sometimes means dunking it in a bucket of water every so often & it has not loosened up. The graphics on the front still look great. There are stains on it from sap & chainsaw oil but the graphics are going strong.
