The Bulldog .457 proves that there's nothing a Benjamin can't accomplish. Stepping up the power from the already popular .357 Bulldog, the .457 doubles down on the rugged industriousness for which Benjamin is known. Go beyond garden varmints into the realm of predator hunting and wild hogs, whitetail wall-hangers and African plains game. Featuring a short 36-inch bullpup configuration for easy carrying in the field, a 26-inch Picatinny rail for the accessories of your choice, a Lothar Walther barrel, muzzle adapter with M18 threads and a reversible side lever bolt for left or right-handed shooters. The Bulldog also offers quiet performance with its baffle-less SoundTrap technology to help minimize the noise of the big bore. Take the leash off what's possible and hunt with a Bulldog.

Bought this gun for an upcoming hunting trip and noticed the first night it lost 500lbs overnight. I refilled and it continues to lose 500lbs overnight so it definitely has an internal leak. I’ve contacted customer support multiple times without a response or call back. It’s been almost 3 weeks.

Very solid rifle and mounted an sig scope easily with plenty of rail room. Questions though: Says a 5 round magazine but the magazine only fits 2 rounds. Also, where can you get magazines?Update: the 5 round is for the .357 version but I found magazines for the .457. 3 shots to site in at 50 yds. Awesome gun

This is a great PCP air rifle, the second one from Benjamin I own. I do not recommend this rifle for backyard planking as it loud and very powerful. This rifle is perfect for an open field or range. Great quality and accuracy. Buy a suppressor for this air gun and a depinger as well. Very happy with the purchase!

Shot tray does not work, at all. Shorter pellets tend to upend when closing the bolt. The Benjamin # B457350 350-Grain Flat Point Pellets do not fit in the breach (photo) even without the shot tray. In short, it’s a joke. Manual loading of pellets is clumsy, at best, and not realistic for hunting. The fill port cover cannot be removed without a tool. I’ve seen better design in Crossman $35 BB pistols. Benjamin conveniently fails to note that this rifle MUST be used with ear protection to prevent hearing loss. I'm returning it. Gonna try the cheaper Umarex Hammer .50 Caliber.Update: I called Benjamin and spoke with Customer Service Supervisor Kevin Snyder (extension 3091) Kevin insisted that the 350-grain pellets fit readily into the shot tray and breech. He postulated that the gun might be defective and told me he would forward my contact information to Senior Design Engineer, John Solpietro. I did not hear back from Mr. Solpietro so I called and left a message. His emailed response to my technical inquiry was nothing but marketing drivel, including technical language such as “We shoot them at a metal gong at 100 yards and man do they smack!” When I responded to this insult, in kind, Mr. Solpietro pretended to be mystified as to the nature of his offense. My guess is that he is not a “Senior Design Engineer” at all. When Benjamin was purchased by Velocity Outdoors, I suspect that they dismissed the engineering department and hired PR men instead. So sad. My first air rifle was a Benjamin and it lasted fifty years, without any issues. You can disregard my earlier-expressed concerns about the hard-to-remove fill port cover. It will fall off, of its own accord, and get lost. Problem solved.
