These are beautiful and sturdy containers, and I love this brand. However, I have some concerns about the "security" of the lid on the containers. Because the lids don't lock on or snap in any way, they're great for leftovers from fridge to microwave, but I caution against throwing these containers into a lunch bag or purse. They're not secure and with the right jostling, the lid will come off and food will be everywhere. So these are for home use only - not portable!

Love! Finally a food storage container that is airtight. I’ve tried all the common brands and ended up putting those full containers inside a ziplock to be more effective but what a hassle. Why is it so hard? I took a chance on this brand after reading many positive reviews and I couldn’t be happier. When you use the lids appropriately & let the air in/out via the “valve”, you can hear the air equalize. Music to my ears. My order was delivered gently in a few days as promised. Will be ordering more.

Don't get me wrong, we've gotten a lot of use out of our pyrex and anchor and other containers over the years, but the lids... the lids on those things are awful and can either last years, or crack within a few days or weeks of purchase- and replacements aren't cheap (and just as bad), leading to a lot of containers and either using plastic wrap, foil, or just wasting space in the cabinet... Finally there is a great alternative: These lids are a much better material, being silicone and glass, and come with the added bonus of a valve. The containers themselves look and feel like top quality glass.I'd say "buy once cry once" but if you're looking at reusable containers, the price is certainly competitive anyway, and this one will keep you from being frustrated over cheap plastic split lids. After using them for a over a month and having no issues, and everything still being like-new after multiple trips through the fridge, microwave, and dishwasher, I can say these are a great deal, and definitely recommend over any of the other containers I've had over the years.

I have been looking into transitioning from plastic storage containers to glass primarily for durability. Over time plastic breaks apart from repeated use and dishwasher, and also I get weird crusty residue that NEVER seems to come off when washing in the dishwasher.I have had pyrex glass storage containers which has plastic lids but unfortunately, over time, the glass edges have chipped or the plastic lids eventually have cracked and warped.Enter these BENTGO containers. I really love these although they take some getting used to.1. The glass is thick and more durable. I equate it to the thickness of glass casserole dishes I use to bake in the oven. The edges are beveled over, which gives me more confidence these won't chip easily knocking on anything,2. The tops are do seal well once you figure out how to do it correctly. While I am not confident this would 100% hold something like soup, I feel comfortable with it holding something saucy or like yogurt. To seal, its better to open the vent plug, securely press the lid down and then close the vent lid to kind of "suck" everything in. Once i figured out this trick it was much easier to put the tops on without feeling like I'm putting too much force or having to mold the edges down. I like the flexing silicone lid rather a hard plastic top.3. Opening it is the same way, open the vent lid then open it up. Since the lid is flexible silicone, I found it difficult to wrestle it off something and was worried I'd drop it or just spill everywhere when i get it open. However, opening the vent first allows you to easily come off.4. I love that these can be microwaved, frozen, dishwasher safe and in the oven. This is truly versatile.

Good quality glassware that you can use to store food in the fridge. I wouldn't use these glass container to carry outside, it is very heavy and the lid is not secure. The lid closes tightly but I wouldn't bet on it to be spill proof. The glass containers work perfect if you have like a bento, noodle, soup, small dish, etc leftover and want to put it in the fridge. I like that is comes with a plug you can open and close, this allow steam to escape and not make your lids expand when container hot food. Overall I would recommend these glass containers if you just need something to keep the food fresh in the fridge.

I recently purchased the Bentgo Signature Leak-Proof Glass Food Storage 12-Piece Set in Desert Sage, and it has significantly improved my meal prep routine. The containers are made of high-quality borosilicate glass, which feels sturdy and durable. I appreciate that they’re plastic-free and BPA-free, aligning with my goal to reduce plastic use in my kitchen. The airtight glass lids seal securely, keeping my meals fresh, and the leak-proof design gives me confidence when transporting soups or sauces. Additionally, the containers are microwave, freezer, oven, and dishwasher safe, making them incredibly versatile for various cooking and storage needs. However, I did encounter some challenges with the lids. After washing, especially in the dishwasher, the lids can become difficult to remove due to the airtight seal. On one occasion, I struggled to open a container, which was frustrating. I also noticed that the glass, while durable, can chip if not handled carefully, particularly around the edges where the lid snaps into place. Despite these issues, the overall functionality and aesthetic appeal of the set make it a valuable addition to my kitchen. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a stylish and eco-friendly food storage solution, with the caveat to handle them with care.
