The patterns are printed on stiff aida fabric to embroider. There is a chart included for referenceThe thread is ok, but it is not sorted as with other kits, it comes in skeinsAfter embroidering, you wash the bookmarks and the printed design will wash off

This set comes with everything you need to embroider your own bookmarks, including scissors and needles. There are 6 designs on a stiffer grid material, and sticky felt backing to cover the stitch work when you are done. There are some instructions included, although you may have to augment these a little if you have never done embroidery before. Great value!
