This two-pack includes boats, controllers, and rechargeable batteries. I supervised my two teenagers as they assembled the boats, which they managed easily using the provided manual. We had some concerns about the water sealing, particularly at the seams, but the boats have held up well so far, with only a slight amount of condensation. Initially, everything feels quite plasticky, but as you start to assemble the parts and play with it, you’ll find that it’s surprisingly sturdy, especially the base of the boat. The red and blue boats have a fun design, attractive colors, and a driver. The charging unit has a red light that turns off when the batteries are fully charged. However, it can be a bit unwieldy to charge and recharge the boats, as you’ll need to take them apart each time. To insert the rechargeable battery after charging, you pull off the top of the boat. To put it back on, you push the front into a notch and then down. The fit is quite tight, with a foam seal around the rim, which may become less effectiveness at waterproofing over time. The manual includes tips on how to use the boats, including opening the top to let out any water vapor for the components to last longer. Once in place, there’s a knob-type lock to ensure that the boats stay on during use. We let the batteries charge for two hours, as recommended in the manual, which is considered a full charge. Each remote control requires four additional batteries that are not rechargeable and are not included in the package. The remotes have various lights, which adds to their appeal. We had a lot of fun racing the boats in the pool. They worked well, especially once you get the hang of the controller. They were sturdy and easily survived many “accidental” crashes. The charge held over several days of nonuse and allowed a second session before slowing down and needing recharging.Overall, these boats are very fun and can be used in larger pools, lakes, or streams. The design is enjoyable, but I don’t anticipate that we’ll use them regularly due to the unwieldy recharging feature. However, I would still recommend them as they were a blast.

These RC boats were an absolute win! We used them at the lake in calm water, and they performed like champs—fast, responsive, and fun to race. They’re small enough for the pool too but still have enough power to cruise confidently across open water. They charge at an okay speed, though it would've been nice to have a better charger and an extra battery included for longer play. The transmitters take 4 AA batteries each (not included) and getting into the battery compartment was a bit tricky. The instructions don’t explain it well.We only used them for about 20 minutes so unsure of battery capacity but my 70-year-old mom had a blast driving one around! For the price, a few extras and better instructions would’ve been nice but these boats look great, run well, and are seriously fun for all ages.

This little boats are pretty fast and a blast on the water. Easy to get to the battery, just flip the lever and lift the top deck and they charge at an okay speed, though a better charger would have been nice as would have been an extra battery to have a spare. Boats have no on/off switch, but instead have a water sensor, as soon as they touch the water it turns on. The transmitters take 4 AA batteries each, not included. Getting into the battery compartment of the transmitter was a pain, the instructions don't tell how and the bottom is very unclear, but you just have to push the lever, not the panel as indicated. For the money, they should have included the extra batteries and a better charging system and made the instructions bigger so I didn't have to use a magnifying glass to read them.
