Worked great !!! Needed it to get a SRAM cassette off a free hub and it did its job perfectly.

Both the cassette wrench and socket worked great. I have a microshift cassette assembly, which is the same as most. There are cheaper on Amazon, but their negative reviews with pics of wrench failure weren't promising. This whip wrench is sturdier than the others looked. It did what I needed and I'm happy I purchased it.

Great tool kit combo to have if you work on your own bike! Product includes a lock ring removal tool (that fits on a 1/2 socket wrench) and a chain whip. I do work on my own bike and service my drivetrain once a year. In the past a pipe wrench and lock ring tool was enough but, I graduated and got this to save my knuckles from getting jabbed into the cassette. The chain whip is SOLID metal and will hold the cassette still, it also has the tool to remove fixed gear lock nuts as well. My only issue is it's a bit spendy. Overall 5 out of 5 stars.

I plan on getting new wheels soon and reusing my current Shimano cassette, so I figured it was a good time to get a tool to be able to remove one. My initial impression is the cassette removal tool is heavy, strong, and a thick metal tool that should be able to suffer a good amount of abuse. Be careful whipping it around, because the chain will whack you in the fingers. Sore knuckles not withstanding I think this tool is more heavy duty than I thought it would be, which is great for tool longevity. I can feel the chain on the tool already has some lubricant on it, so you might want to keep it lightly lubricated to prevent any rust from forming. All and all I'm happy with it and it seems perfect to remove my Shimano cassette.
