.... Don't, the bolts & nuts are METRIC and everything on a H-D are IMPERIAL (SAE) .... incompatible !!!

I got a set of these forward controls for my 2000 sportster, and overall I am happy with the quality.If you are mechanically inclined, it isn’t too hard to put together as it only comes with an exploded view of the assembly.The main problem was that the thread for the break extension does not match the thread in the master cylinder- so we made our own by threading a bolt with fine threads on one side and course on the other. If you have a tap and die set and an old bolt (I think 5/16) it’s not a problem!

You certainly get what you pay for. This kit is more than $200 cheaper than others on the internet, and here's why. The left side of the kit (On the gear shifter side) works okay. Tolerances are open which cause a LOT of play on the linkages but the billet parts are machined well and of decent quality. The issue I has was on the right side of the bike (Rear brake linkage). The extension rod screwing into the rear brake master cylinder didn't fit. It had the wrong threads on it, so I had to fab something up myself. I tried calling the company and sending mails, but haven't had ANY replies from them. the kit does work, but you certainly need some mechanical background. there aren't any instructions in the kit and the diagram they send didn't have all the parts on. If you're on a real tight budget and know how to drill, tap, and cut, then this kit is okay. If I'd have to do it over I'd save up and bought the proper stuff.

the snap ring doesnt fit properly on the "clevis footpeg right, and left". They are too big, and the gear selector pedal didnt screw in straight or thread wasnt correct. very dissapointed

this is a great complete kit worked great on my 02 sporty and brought my feet a bit closer to me seat than the previous owner had them, love the ride much better, all parts fit and work great

one of the foot peg skulls was put on upside down (cosmetic). parts were not machined properly so they could not be assembled at all. literally unusable. wouldn't recommend.

I installed the forward control kit three months ago easy install had no problem with it, took my last ride of the season to the city ( Chicago ) on my way back home ( 50 miles north ) the rear brake pedal snapped from the brake rod and i had no back . it was very dangerous going 75mph with no back brakes .

Everything is perfect. Not to mention I got extremely fast delivery 4 days before I was suppose to get them kinda shocked. It fits my 48 sportster perfect and looks awesome. For the price you can't beat this. Took me only 2 hrs that includes taking my old forward controls off and pitting the new ones on..
