This bar was a little different than I anticipated. It comes in multiple sections that you screw on to make longer or shorter. I used all of the extensions except one. The ends also twist to give you extra length and tighten the fit, and it holds in place well against the wall. Luckily it worked for my area that I was using. I put in a small tiny office room that doesn't have a door, and am hanging a curtain so that it covers the area. For the price, it's a good option.

I used this in a 52" opening and it seems to work. It comes in several short pieces that screw together. I only had to use 2 sections for my opening. I'm very skeptical that it would remain straight, hold tension and be sturdy with all the pieces connected. Even with just 2 of them, I felt like it wasn't super sturdy. Luckily I hung a light curtain on it that won't be moved often, not a shower curtain. I think with repeated opening and closing of a shower curtain, the tension will release.
