UPDATE: HARK! I have poured the liquid into the beautiful textured ceramic container and inserted the reeds! The smell is beautiful and indeed calming. This is my first time smelling osmanthus, so I have nothing to compare it to, but the smell as a whole is lovely. With the 12 long reeds they give you, it's definitely substantial enough to fill a large room with the pleasant smell. I'm using it in a smaller room, so I have only put 6 reeds in for the moment until I decide to move it to a larger room lol. As stated below, this item presents quite luxuriously, and this would make a fabulous gift.**ahem, I still have not thrown the box away :'D**--------------------------------------------------------------I haven't gotten a chance to open this up and use it yet but the packaging and product presentation deserve a special mention on their own.This comes in the blue box pictured with the textured vase, but what you can't see is the quality. To be honest, I don't even want to throw the box away. It matches my room decor, and I may keep it around as a decorative box near the diffuser.. I haven't decided yet lolI received the 16.91 oz size of Osmanthus & Sandalwood. It was a hard choice though, as they have different scents that I would have like to try as well such as Oakwood & Sandalwood and Palo Santo & Vetiver... Well, really I would like to try all of them lol. I can't speak to the smell as of yet, since I have not yet opened the diffuser liquid.Yet another reason I am becoming a BLUEME fan, they use recycled materials for their packaging and commit to sustainable practices. Their diffuser liquid also contains essential oils. The Osmanthus & Sandalwood scents is said to contain: chamomile, clary sage and ylang ylang essential oils to complement the other fragrances. These 3 essential oils are wonderful for relieving anxiety/stress, inducing calmness.This would make a great, high quality, luxurious house warming gift or gift for other occasions as well.I can tell that BLUEME takes pride in the quality and presentation of their products.

Vetiver is truly one of the greatest raw ingredients one can find for fragrances. It is earthy, and grounded, and somewhat singular in its ability to perk people's nostrils up. For as versatile as the fragrance note seems to be, however, it is a tricky one to pull off well. Interestingly enough, this is the first time I've seen it paired with Palo Santo, even though the pairing of those scents make a lot of...sense. (*badum—tsssst*)Firstly, the packaging itself is truly noteworthy. Set in a thick, beautiful box; if you were looking for an upscale gift, this is a great pick. There's a ton of appeal upon first impressions. Adding to this is the ceramic base. It's shaped wonderfully, recalling a piece of earthenware pottery, whilst embossed with the low-profile logo near the bottom. The fragrance oil is plentiful, and the diffuser reeds are massive. From a visual standpoint, this is aesthetically appealing enough to function as a piece of decor on our built-in bookshelves.Now, THE FRAGRANCE:—the notes are distinctly spicy and herbaceous—Burnt-woodsy Palo Santo is certainly there, but in tandem with the vetiver, it is complex—There is something very cinnamon forward in this fragrance oil—Perfect for Autumn/Winter. It's cozy and inviting, but also interesting enough to warrant several big sniffs.—Honestly a unique Christmastime contender that isn't a gourmand. It smells like you spritzed a bit of Santal onto a bonfire of cinnamon sticks, essentially.

I didn't like how quickly the scent runs out. I went through half a bottle in about a month with only 5 sticks in.The more sticks you have in, the stronger the scent and quicker the oil runs out.I feel like a variety pack would be beneficial so people could try multiple scents. I also think the sizes should be increased or the prices lowered to compensate.

I've had pretty good luck with fir smells being tolerable, but this smells so off...maybe it's the amber. I have a lot of amber and fir candles and this smells nothing like them; if anything, it smells like a weird synthetic fir with something else (not amber). Disappointing for the price. The upside is that the container is sturdy and heavy, so I can reuse it for other diffuser fragrances (I had another fir diffuser and poured it into this one, which helped a tiny bit). It is a bit oversized, but again, will use with other fragrances and it lives out of the way so size won't be as much of an issue for me (would be if I was keeping it in the bathroom or on my desk). It includes multiple reeds, but I only used a few to start. Overall, not the greatest value in my opinion, and the fir amber fragrance is nasty; there was also a sticker on the diffuser and when I pulled it off, it left sticky goo and a dark mark on the stone thing. Not sure I'd give as a housewarming gift because of that, but it is at least packaged securely, and the overall package was nice enough to gift.

Wow, this is a luxe product that is worth the price! Only within this last year have I started investing in higher end diffusers, and I get why they are more expensive: they WORK! I almost can't go back to anything cheaper now. I have this one in a 400 square foot space and it's filled the area and has for months. It also looks really pretty with the matte white holder and thicker reed diffusers and it's been long lasting. I love sandalwood and got this scent to give it a try. The osmanthus adds more of a sweet powdery scent than I'd prefer, but it's still very pretty. The box it comes in makes this very giftable as well. I will definitely be ordering from this brand again and can't wait to try a new scent.
