Definitely a useful utensil for scooping Matcha out of my tiny bags, but at the end of the day it's $14 CAD for a piece of carved bamboo. The wood grain isn't smooth either and it doesn't have any kind of finish on it either - kinda looks and feels cheap if I'm being honest.I'd pay $1 or $2 tops for this, but not $14.

With the current trend in matcha, it's not surprising to see an uptick in the number of accessories available for purchase. This is a traditional matcha/green tea spoon for scooping tea into your bowl or cup. It's basically just a flat piece of bamboo with a curved end. I guess my question here is about cost-benefit.It's $14CAD where I live, which seems somewhat expensive for a small twig. If you want the authentic look for ceremonial purposes, go for it. If you want to put powder in your cup, a regular tea spoon will do the same job. It's a nice thing, but it seems expensive for what it is.
