It's a little difficult to figure it out at first. Making the best howls takes practice. However, I can say for a fact it works!! I called in most of the pack of Timberwolves from the hills into my camp. They surrounded me and hung around for almost an hour trying to figure out what exactly I was and what I was doing. I never saw the alpha but he was close. His bark took the pack away to do wolf things after he got bored. A wonderful experience if you don't mind the reminder you are not on the top of the food chain out in the sticks.

Poor quality. Really phoney sound. Make better sounds with voice.

I bought one of these this summer and have been using it to hunt wolves with over the past few weeks. I can tell you that it works and that I had a very interesting weekend with multiple wolves responding to the call. I have run into one issue with it in that the reeds come out of alignment if you use it a lot, requiring you to take it apart and readjust them to get any sound to come out of the call. Luckily, it was mild when this happened and not -30, so I was able to fix it.When it works, the call gives an excellent starting low pitch, followed by a higher pitched call, and then a breaking low pitch trailer. As my hunting partner said, it sounded better than what we had on the electronic caller. I also used it to call at a pack of coyotes behind my house - it caused them to stop calling for about 30 seconds and then respond as a pack to the wolf call. Pretty neat.If you get one, mark the reed position and the position of the rubber stopper with a white marker, so you can readjust the reeds if they come out of position.

Quality is questionable as the rubber piece around the end of the call arrived ripped and is now completely gone only after 1 day in the field. Also the mouth piece was loose in the packaging so I had to wrap duct tape around to secure it in place. If I had more time before our wolf season opened I would have returned the call for a replacement and or my money back. Overall it's a decent call and is very easy to operate

For anyone interested in how this product actually works and less interested in someone's believes, which has no place on a product review board, I can tell you this system works great. It doesn't take very long to get the hang of and this system easily meets the quality I've come to expect from Bugling Bull Game Calls.

My son requested this for Christmas. He is a Fish and Game officer charged with keeping numbers of wolves under control. This brings them in.
