Broadway Murder Mysteries creates murder mystery games that let you get into character and solve a murder with the help of a lead detective played by a Broadway Actor!
It’s opening night of Murder in the First on Broadway, and nerves are high. The cast and crew are all a buzz backstage with the excitement of the lights, the sounds - and the dead body of big-shot Broadway Producer. There lies Jack Bialystock, shot in the back center stage before the curtain could rise.
Was the murderer a cast member, like Anita Part who’s making her Broadway debut tonight, or seasoned performer Sienna Stealer? Was it the sleazy casting director Colin Back, or a member of the audience like Megan Phan who somehow wandered backstage?

How to Play
1. Read the Introduction Narration provided with your materials.

The mystery is built to be played by 4-20+ characters, ANY of whom could be the murderer and each have gripping motives for murder. **Additional guests can play as “detectives” who ask questions each round and guess the killer at the end!
Characters Include: Idina Mental: Sexy and sultry, Idina’s the leading lady everyone dreams of and she knows it. Her long gown and ruby red lips are enough to make any man kill. | Billy Bergamont: Billy is a dashing young playwright with wit and charm...maybe too much for his own good. | Julie Tamenomore: Julie is the Director, an artistic and creative soul with a dark secret. | Bob Blandley: Bob is a dry and dull theatre critic whose husband’s shopping addiction is getting in the way of his work. | Audrey Torium: Audrey is a mousy and meek Usher with a timid demeanor...or so she likes people to think. | Anita Part: Anita is a young actress fresh to New York City. How Long Does It Take?
All our games take roughly 60-90 minutes to play, depending on how many people are playing. You can play with 4-20 people.
How Many People Can Play?
You can play with any number of people between 4-20. Each person can play as a suspect, including the host. Additional guests can play as “detectives” who ask questions each round and guess who the killer is at the end.
Can I Play Virtually or In Person?
Yes! All of our games can be played in person OR virtually online. Detailed step-by-step instructions are included for both ways of playing.
Can I Play More Than Once?
Yes! Our games are designed to be played multiple times with the killer changing each time! Each suspect has a “guilty” and “innocent” track in their character booklet, with different answers based on if they are assigned the murderer or not.

We have an extended family game night every month or two and usually have 10-15 people so this game is a perfect fit.It comes with all the physical materials you need for a Murder Mystery dinner/theater type event. You have Character sheets that describe the character and have suggested answers to questions other characters will ask them, but you have the freedom to embellish your answers (as long as you provide the same info in your answer). It's not required, of course, but it's suggested you can dress or wear a costume fitting of your character, which adds to the fun.There is a host dashboard online where you can created and send game themed invitations with character assignments, download the files so you can print the materials (especially nice for the award certificates) or include the PDF's with your invites if you plan to play the game virtually (ex. via Zoom).The game can be played over and over because you're not locked into a single solution. Each game you can assign a different character to be the murderer, mix up the character assignments to different players.All in all, a lot of thought and creativity went into designing this game and it is very entertaining. As a bonus, they actually provide files for an additional 50's style diner game.

Every year, my family goes on a vacation together, and we all have to come up with fun games to play during the trip. Since it’s usually a cruise or destination vacation, whatever we bring has to travel well. I stumbled across this gem and thought it would be a blast for all of us to nerd out together, and it didn’t disappoint.First off, it comes in a compact package that fits easily in a suitcase, check. Last year we had 14 people on the trip, and this game works for 4 to 20 players, check. It includes a host guide and all the printed materials you need, but there’s also a QR code you can scan to view the “evidence” or guide online. So it’s flexible whether you have internet access or not, check.They even threw in some fun extras like awards for best costume or best accent, and there’s a handy list of questions to help guide the investigation if things slow down. The whole thing is well thought out and well made. The paper is good quality, sure, it’s still paper, so it could rip if you’re not careful, but it doesn’t feel cheap or flimsy at all.Overall, they did a really nice job with this. It’s creative, travel-friendly, and absolutely perfect for our vacation game tradition!

We just got it in the mail today. Seems easy enough however it's already used. The little number slips were already tore apart and jammed on bottom and bent. I'm guessing someone played it then returned it.
