Overall I would say that Good but not on par with a solid wood unit. This is definitely made of particle/composite material. Looks pretty nice but scratches easily. Had to drill a few of my own pilot holes where the factory neglected to do so.Pros- Color is as expected, good function/footprint, average quality.Cons- Scratches easily, took a while to assemble, not solid wood.

It looks just like the picture and is VERY easy to put together. I have never put a desk together before in my life and by following the directions I was able to do so with very little issue. My husband did the heavy lifting (i.e. putting the "lids" on) but everything else was done by me. The desk is easy to scratch but it really is no better or worse than any other desk I've had.Overall I am very happy with my purchase!

I definitely am not someone who is handy with tools but I decided to take the challenge. My son (15 yrs) and I were determined to put this thing together. It was going to be our project. Many times during the beginning of the process, we regret not ordering this items installed. But we kept at it. Some of these instructions were scary for an immature such as us but follow one step at a time. It actually comes together. We made few mistakes and needed to redo it. It took us a few days. At the end, it turned out nice. Like it is on the picture/website. I am proud that although it was much easier to order these items installed, we chose not to. It was rewarding. Also the company delivered them within a few days. I was very impress.

Easy to put together. Can assemble yourself but a couple parts it may be easier with a partner. Anyway, once assembled it looks great. Just wish everything wasn't particle board. Plus the drawer bottoms are very thin so I would not put anything heavy in them. Overall, not bad for the price but don't buy if you are looking for quality.

Overall, I like the desk. Very roomy and durable...exactly what I was looking for. I only gave this three stars because several chips and dings could be found throughout the product...the worst of which I've attached. It's about the size of a dime, and unfortunately is on the top corner of one of the desktop pieces, so it's really visible.Revised 7/27/16 - this desk is horrible. The middle of the hutch is completely bowed down, despite there being nothing heavy stored in the middle compartment. The desktop and edges of the desk are riddled with spots where the laminate has come off, some in small specks, some in large patches. Seems a bit excessive considering I use this as a computer desk intermittently. It looks absolutely terrible after not even a year of use.

I found that it was easy to put together and very sturdy. I was surprised at how dense and strong the "wood" appears to be. I had to install some lighting and I pre drilled the holes for the screws. The screws seemed to "take hold" fairly well.Cons: The charging area for phones etc. above the cabinet on the left is useless. The "holder is put in with Velcro and the sticky glue side doesn't stick very well to the cabinet. It should have been a complete shelf instead of only 4 1/2 inch deep.As others have stated it does scratch vey easily so I put a glass top on part of it. I'm not sure what I'm going to do with the rest. Get a scratch grease pencil from the local hardware store to cover the scratches.All in all I would recommend this purchase to anyone.

You're not going to get better quality for the price. Furniture is pretty. Very functional and heavy. Some pieces came with minor flaws that virtually disappeared once the items were put together. You must assemble everything. Of all the many pieces of hardware, only one tiny screw was unusable because of a burr that made it impossible to fit the screw driver into the head of it. Instructions said not to use power tools...I cheated and used a small battery operated screw driver - this helped speed things up. Prepare yourself, during the few hours of assembly, to wonder why you bought such a "cheap" set-up only to be pleasantly surprised once it's all together and in place.
