Cleaning and Storage

How to Use the Safety Side-cut Can Opener Correctly
Turn the knob clockwise to tighten the gear and blade to grip the edge of the can, you can turn "Tighten" in the direction of the icon's arrow.
Continue to turn the knob clockwise to drive the blade to start cutting the edge of the can, make sure the lid is completely cut.
Turn the knob in the opposite direction to release the gear blade from the can lid, you can turn "Release" in the direction of the icon's arrow.
Easily remove the can lid that can be put back on.
Tips
The principle of the side-cut can opener is to use the knob to drive the gear and the blade to tighten the edge of the can, thus making a complete cut to the edge of the can. When opening, please place the gear properly on the edge of the can opener and clamp the gear on the rim at the edge of the can properly as shown in the picture, making the opening of the can more smoothly.

Bought this item to replace a standard top-cut manual can opener. I have no idea why I waited so long to replace my old can opener. Opens any size can with ease. The turn crank is large and comfortable. It provides plenty of torque to easily open cans.

Does what they say it will do!!!!!!!!! Cuts the can and there is no sharp edge on the can or the lid and you can re-use the lid to store in the can. Amazing! I don't know why it took me so long to find this type of can opener. My old can opener is now relegated to the "tornado/storm preparedness bag".

If I could give zero stars I would. This can opener does not work properly, opened up a couple of cans half way through. Wasted my money. Wish I had not bought it. Threw it out. Now I have to buy another one and not Beneno brand.

I purchased this can opener based on ratings/reviews and, well, I guess you can't believe everything you read. Aesthetically and ergonomically it actually isn't bad, however, once pressed into use, it falls far short of expectations. This opener is difficult to successfully get securely attached to a can top which makes the opening process an ineffective and frustrating exercise. As a result of this condition, one is left to attempt several 360 degree rotations of a can with the hope that the lid will eventually be able to be removed. Alas, hope doesn't get you much. Consistently, lids remained attached to the parent can, and emptying the contents is almost impossible. I was able to take a pair of plyers and wrench the lid off to the point where whatever was inside could be poured out, however, (obviously) this defeats the purpose of what is supposed to be a safe and effective wat to remove lids. My old can opener, which is the same type, but a different manufacturer, was pressed back into service and I eventually purchased a different brand and type. Altogether, this product was worthless at it's intended purpose. It was, however, quite effective at wasting time and the money used to purchase it. I ABSOLUTLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT! NEGATIVE STARS IF POSSIBLE!!!!

After healing from a significant cut from the ‘traditional’ can openers I thought I would give this a try. I was very skeptical that this would work. I have had it a week and it is so easy to use and there are no crazy sharp edges nor do I have to fight to take the lid off - I hope this continues to work over the next year like it has in the first week! So far - it is easy to clean and easy to store.

Works beautifully! No sharp edges. Not difficult or hard to turn. No strength required. Once you figure out how to place it on the can...... Mind blown with the ease and simplicity! LOVE this! Will look at other products they offer absolutely! Lifetime warranty to boot!
