I figured since it’s only 20 bucks and supposed to be a direct replacement, it would be easier to just throw one of these on the SYX50 instead of pulling apart the stock carb to clean it. I was wrong. It’s a poor copy of what was already a poor copy. The jet and the needle valve are slightly different. I put it on anyway and the bike would fire, rev for a second, then die. I am pretty well-versed in tuning small engine carbs, but this one simply would not run. There’s only one adjustment screw, and the bike wouldn’t stay running no matter where that screw was set. I took the carb back off, pulled it all apart to clean it and check for machining debris, and put it back on the bike. Same thing. I took the stock carb back out of the garbage, took it apart and cleaned it, and the bike fired right up and runs great again. Too bad I’m a few days outside the return window. Long story short, it fits, it leaks fuel, and it wouldn’t run. Not a good value; save your money and clean your stock carb.

Good fit for SYX 50cc hole shot kids bike carb replacement. Be aware that the throttle slide part (cylinder shape piece that attached to throttle cable at end) may be inside the carburetor. Just give it a shake and it should fall out for use in the new carb.
