Installed, minor adjustments to fuel/air and idle and off we go. Appeared to work well in the 20 minutes or so I ran it. Time will tell.

After reading other reviews this carburetor really is a simple roll of the dice on what you’re going to get. I got mine installed and my 700 twin ran pretty good for a couple of hours around the neighborhood but now it is leaking gas out the overflow. Very thankful I didn’t take this out on a big ATV adventure because after a lunch break I probably would’ve had an empty gas tank! Apparently I have to take the carburetor back out take the bottom off and adjust a stuck float and seal. Joy….. roll eyesI have very little faith in the quality of this product!Update… So I pulled the carburetor back out of the machine put it on the bench and went to work on it.After removing the access to repair the floats I discovered that the floats never did work correctly because the hinge was way too tight. It was fairly easy to file down the plastic hinges just enough to allow them to move freely. I have successfully reinstalled it and have ran it for a short time and so far so good with no leaking out the overflow. If you are buying this carburetor I would suggest Doing a quick examination of your floats to make sure everything is moving freely before installing. That could save you a good 40ish minutes of work. The carburetor is probably worthy of three or four stars but since it’s been such a pain in the you know what I’m gonna stick with my two stars.

I replaced the original carb on my ‘02 700 twin with this and it fits great and seems to work fine but I can’t really comment on how well it works. This one didn’t really work at first so I tried to adjust a couple of things to no avail and decided to try the old one again. It also failed to work, even in the less than optimal condition that made me want to replace it in the first place. I found out that the rubber intake tube was broken and sucking in too much air so I had to change that out. Good news, the atv runs great now but I have also now have this spare carb that I may not end using. All in all, the quality of the part is good and you won’t go wrong with buying this if you truly need a new carb. I 100% believe I’d have zero issues if I were to install this again.
