If the yoto is in the box, you can’t really use the pockets in the lid. The padding easily falls out which is fairly annoying.

I bought this for traveling, not for its intended purpose. It is perfect for my needs; I am absolutely thrilled with it. Most women will relate to the need to pack items that are easily accessible during a road trip or flight. Back in the day, it used to be maps. In the modern era, you might need to keep snacks handy, stuff of that nature. I bought this to keep in my carry-on back, which is quite large. The size of the carry-on makes it easy to lose the small items to the bottom of the bag, which is a nuisance - an unnecessary one, as I've recently discovered!I ordered this item to house stuff like my charging cords, some pens, a small pad of paper and the like, and it is PERFECT for this application! And, as a bit of an aside, the color exactly matches that of my luggage set, so it all beautifully coordinates! Oh, and don't knock the idea of orange luggage. It's out of the ordinary, for sure, but not only is it beautiful, I've also never gotten it mixed up with anyone else's on the conveyor belt!

The outer material on this case feels pretty durable, with a texture that’s both soft and almost a bit rubbery. Water rolls right off the case, but I would still avoid letting it get soaked as I imagine water could get through the zipper. And the zipper works well — so far it’s sliding smoothly and not getting stuck, etc.The bright orange color is really vibrant in person — it’s fun and eye-catching, and should make it easy to find the case since the color really pops.Although the foam cushion inside the carrying case is especially cut to custom-fit a specific brand of audio player for kids, the cutouts are big and basic enough that you could also easily fit other things in here instead, such as a phone or laptop charger, an AirPods case, USB cables, etc… And the foam cushion is also easily removable — it’s not glued or sewn down at all, so you can pop it right out at any time without having to rip anything — so then the case becomes easy to clean and even more versatile, because without the foam you can fit a lot more/bigger stuff in here if needed.

This has been great for what its meant to hold (a Yoto player and some cards) but the fact that it zips upside down when you are using the straps and its designed for kids, its a little annoying at times. If they do not have it fully zipped before someone grabs the strap then everything immediately falls out. It also leaves very little room for things to be in the lid portion (the side with the mesh/net) AND to have cards in it at the same time.

This case is a great accessory to pick up if you are toting around your Yoto Mini player!My main gripe with Yoto is there is nothing to store your story cards in when you first get the player. This case is large enough to hold 20+ stories, the player, and a pair of ear buds no problem!Even with a silicone case on the player it still fits in the cutout without issues. The straps make it easy to tote around as well. It has been a hit with my daughter!
