This thing is *built*. My 20 pound cat has yet to try it out, but I tend to think everything would be fine if he did because this thing is extremely solid, especially compared to another desktop cat bed I got that was essentially the opposite and kept falling apart while assembling it. This seems like it could take a beating and not even let on it happened.

Horrible product. The plastic fasteners used in the wood immediately pulled through before halfway installed. Had to push them out and use regular bolts and nuts to make sure it is stable enough.

This is very sturdy, I absolutely believe the 40 lb claim, though I haven’t exactly tested that. My cat is about 10 lbs, and he doesn’t budge it, even when he gets the zoomies and uses it as a launching pad. I have it attached to an end table by a window, and it is a great space saver, since it lets my cat have a nice platform for nature watching without having a clunky cat tree displacing my table. My cat instantly loved it. The bed walls are just as pictured, and very low, so I wasn’t sure he’d be thrilled with being unable to snuggle down in it, but he likes to loaf on it to watch the birds. He has other beds to really curl up in, but when winter comes around again, I’ll probably put another bed on top of it for him to be able to be warm and snug.The only thing is that the pictures show a metal ring and describe this as a hammock, which it absolutely is not. There’s no metal ring. The arm screws into a hard platform that the bed attaches on top of. So that felt a little misleading, but all the other pictures show it accurately not looking like any kind of hammock. So between that and how much my cat loves it, I don’t really feel like I can take a star off.

This make for a great bed for a cat, especially when one is recuperating from a injury or surgery. The bed was easy to assemble. It is large enough for an adult cat but a Maine Coon lays on it but hangs over quite a bit.I think the bed will be durable. I believe the cats stay warm in the bed.

I got this for my niece, Minky.My sister, Agnes works from home so we got this set up on her desk.Quad, my sister-in-law took the day off to get this assembled, but it ended up only taking her a few minutes.Minky loves to be in women's business so she is always perched up on her new desk bed.

My cats noticed this the moment I installed it. One isn't too sure about it and the other loves to hang there. They tend to sleep on my desk while I work and that crowds things a bit. I got this to help with the over crowding. They love it. I no more start to work and one or the other hops up and passes out. I placed mine near the window so they'd have something to look at while they sat there.The thing is sturdy and you can remove the cover to wash it which is really nice. The clamp fits a standard desk and actually opens quite large for something like a window sill if you need that. It's heavy duty and extremely easy to assemble and install. Also, the bed arm moves up and down the post so you can position it however it works best.This is great and my cats love it!

The screw holes for the base plywood don't align correctly, the wrench it came with was bent and unusable, the plastic screw for the post broke while I was tightening and I still couldn't get it tight enough to make the perch arm not rotate.Momo enjoys it but it twists and pivots around too much when she gets on and off since I’m unable to tighten two key areas. After two days it’s tilted to the side and I can’t make it level.The concept is great but I’ll be replacing it with one she's less likely to fall out of.

I ordered "Cat Desk Bed" my reviewI really wanted to love this "Cat Desk Bed" — and honestly, the packaging had me thinking I was about to unbox something top-tier. It was sleek, well-designed, and made it feel like a premium product. Unfortunately, that’s where the premium feeling ended.Assembly started off fine until it came time to attach the two half-wood pieces to the square metal frame. I own three of these beds and this was the only one where the wood pieces weren’t hinged — which, in my opinion, is how it should’ve been designed from the start.The pre-drilled holes only lined up 2 out of 4 times with the metal frame, and on top of that, one of the plastic anchors embedded in the wood broke mid-screw, making it impossible to secure. I had to pop out the broken anchor, grab some wood glue, and use a larger screw just to make it work.The design idea is solid — the aesthetic is great, the concept makes sense — but the execution was clearly lacking, like the R&D and manufacturing teams didn’t sync up properly. It’s a shame, because the presentation was so on point that I expected way more from the product itself.If you’re handy and don’t mind adjusting things to make them work, this bed might still be worth it for the looks. But if you’re looking for a seamless, frustration-free experience right out of the box? This might test your patience.
