I saw something like this on a chicken account I follow and thought it would be great to allow us to DIY a waterer. Unfortunately, the quality of the plastic as well as the mechanism inside won't last very long. The plastic is already warping from the heat and we aren't even in the thick of summer yet.

We got these to replace the current chicken waterer we have. We bought a 5 gallon bucket to attach them to. It was really nice they came with their own drill bit so it was super easy to get set up. There was a little bit of issue with extra plastic around the drilled hole but I was easily able to clip it off. So far it's working great, no leaks and chickens love the bigger cups.

These are perfect for our needs! The drill bit that is provided is so nice too, I love that it came included. Took any guess work out and made it so easy to attach these how we wanted. Our chickens like this and it keeps the water so much cleaner. It's easy to fill, refills itself until the water level gets too low, and I don't have to worry about the water running out too quickly.

These work well. Connected them via irrigation drip line to a hanging bucket to give the water pressure.These work well. They spring up when empty and when the water fills them they drop enough to close the valve.They are a bit annoying to clean out though. The chickens keep getting stuff in them, which apparently is normal. I've been using a battery operated air gun to just blow them out clean, then plan to do a full clean to get the bio film off from time to time.Nice to have water automatically available.

I got these to replace another brand of the same style, and so far so good! Easy to replace the broken ones and work as they should, and for an excellent price.

I actually don't have any chickens, my state is one of those busybody states that puts heavy regulatory nonsense on it anyway, and I would need to own a quarter acre just to be allowed to keep a single chicken.I do however have a use for these as nectar dispensers for my hummingbirds.One of the most common things to happen to nectar is drying out or spoiling in the dispenser which is something I deal with all the time.With these I've been able to set up a system with the waterers as dispensers and an elevated bottle kept out of the sunlight to feed into these waterers. It's working great and my hummingbirds have taken to it immediately thanks to the bright red color.
