These bearing were ordered for a 99 Blazer 4.3 V6. I had changed the intake manifold gaskets and timing chain. I assuming I got material in the oil pan and plugged the oil pump screen and lost oil pressure. Pulled engine and replaced the bearings. I read a lot of posts that were not concerned of low oil pressure. I was! Main bearing 2 and 3 were scored. Wrapped wet and dry sandpaper around the journal and used a flat shoe lace around it pulling back and forth keeping it lubed with WD 40. Finished with 1500 grit paper. Reinstalled engine and ran until temperature was normal and drained oil an changed filter. The next oil change I ran for 200 miles and changed oil and filter again. Cut filter into to check for Metallic particles; They were there. I am now on my third oil change and will change it out in a couple hundred miles. You ask why all the oil changes. The answer pull the V6 out of the Blazer 4x4 and it is an experience that you won't ever want to do again.
