Many complicated template jobs that are usually done with a band-saw or a scrollsaw can be just as easily and efficiently carried out with a CMT top bearing Pattern Bit. To avoid unnecessary damage to the template or the bit, make sure to set the cutter lower than the template.

I own a few other CMT router bits, and this one seems as good as the others. I do need to run it at a higher (recommended) RPM's as it left a little fuzz on my zero clearance table saw insert.

cmt warranty is worthless. It states that the item is warranted if there is nothing wrong with it??? Why in gods name would you be interested in trying to get a replacement if it didn't have a problem ?

Cuts well and clean. Bearing runs smooth. Good quality. I would recommend it if you need a good pattern bit.

Haven't had the chance to use it more than once, yet. But at the time I ordered it paternal bits of this cutting length were in short supply.And these people had it to my rural locationFast, days ahead of schedule.
