Yeah, you'd never use this bat for cricket. It's really a home defense kind of item. This thing is SOLID and heavy. It would definitely leave a mark.

It’s heavy, and easy to overswing. I have used it for self defense and found it cumbersome, albeit successful. I also own a sjambok and would have preferred it for its reach and speed. It wasn’t available to me at the time. A table saw, or band saw could cut the edges Down to a point, shaving down its weight and making it more effective.

It's probably heavier than some wood ones and it's made of almost like a siding material? It's wood texture so it's somewhat believable as wood if you aren't looking closely. It's excellent for the price and has served me well

OMG! I love this cricket bat! I do not play the sport however. This makes a wonderful burglar Buster. It is very intimidating, and is also heavy which I feel could add to your advantage if you lack skill. But this thing doesn't really require any. Just swing and your probably going to stop whatever you need to. The handle grip is rather rough, highly recommend gloves when using. But other than that no complaints. I love the wood grain texture, the decals kinda take away from it though. I think I'm going to paint over them. Ready to take on the zombie apocalypse.

Ive wanted a cricket bat ever since I watched Casey Jones knock Raphael into a trash can in the 1990 TMNT movie. A real cricket bat would cost anywhere from $100 - $200. This bat was $40. Truly a steal. I wrapped the red handle with heavy duty electrical tape. Along with the logos on the bat itself. It definitely carries a solid weight.. and one of my favorite melee weapons I have in my car for self defense. I havnt tested this materials durability yet but i feel confident. Pros: Heavy but not awkward. Multiple sides to strike from. Unlike wood.. dont have to worry about rain, snow, mud or even various temps.Cons: Red Handle & Logo (easily covered up by electrical tape).

The Liverpool Assassin is an impressive weapon made of polypropylene that perfectly takes the shape of a tradtitional English cricket bat. The Assassin is essentially the same approach as Cold Steel's line of Brooklyn Smasher products: take the shape of a wooden sports bat and remold it in denser stronger polypropylene material to create a devastatingly destructive blunt swinging weapon. While Liverpool itself might not be a cricket mecca (the city has no large cricket stadiums like London or Manchester do), this weapon will put it on the map of sports weaponry!Pros:Its big and weighs close to 50oz, which is heavier than an average wooden baseball bat of the same length (34 inches). See my picture with a soda can for scaleThe cricket bat shape presents some variable attack strategies. Hitting with the flat side will undoubtedly crack a skull and concuss the attacker. Hitting with the thin edge side would certainly fracture an arm or leg bone if swung correctly.You could also block, parry, and slap away someone coming at you with a bladed weapon.The edge tip, though not sharp, is half an inch thick. So you could do some serious damage thrusting it into an attacker's ribs.The handle has a red high-density rubber spiral grip that won't slip in your hands (see picture).The polypropylene is very dense injection molding. Leave it out in the rain/snow/mud or run it over, and it'll still keep its shape.Its REALLY low cost. A comparable size actual adult cricket bat made of wood goes for over $200.Shipping was quick and right on time. The packaging issue I mention below is not a big deal.Cons:A cricket bat can be tricky to fully master for an American like myself who grew up swinging baseball bats. But the Assassin is nonetheless still deadly no matter how you swing it. Plus its a total conversation starter when I leave it out in my living room. Everybody always asks "what the hell is that!?"The box was damaged when it arrived (see the picture). This was mostly cuz there was only one small roll of bubble wrap in the package to keep the bat from rolling around. However, The Assassin is so robust that there were no marks or any other evidence of damage at all on the bat itself.The warranty does not cover "normal wear and tear" which could mean just abouth anything you do with it. But honestly, who really cares? Its a badass cricket bat weapon!
