Each custom-fit class 3 hitch package is made for vehicle-specific mounting. This particular kit fits certain years of the Chevy S10, GMC S15 and GMC Sonoma (see application info to verify vehicle compatibility). It provides a weight carrying capacity of 4,000 lbs. GTW and 400 lbs. TW. It is also compatible with a weight distribution hitch for level towing and a rating of 6,000 lbs. WD and 600 lbs. WDTW. CURT class 3 trailer hitches are typically used to attach and haul utility trailers, boat trailers, campers, snowmobile or ATV haulers and more (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest-rated towing component). Each class 3 hitch has a 2" receiver tube and is tested in accordance with SAE J684 for safety. To ensure that CURT class 3 receiver hitches have what it takes for serious trailering, they are designed using a hands-on approach and are constructed with rugged, high-strength steel and precise welding. Went on pretty easy with one small issue. The bracket ends were a bit off and it was too tight to fit over the frame, but a little attitude adjustment with a rubber mallet solved that. It fits up tight with the stock bumper and looks really nice, but might have an issue if using a chunky hitch. It is a really good upgrade pulling a trailer from using the stock bumper.

I thought I re-edit my first review 🙄🤥 I found the hardware next day. EXTREMELY happy with the product. It's been a life saver for me 💟Original post said no hardware. My bad, I missed it. It arrived on time. Looks great, looks like high quality material. Time will tell how it holds up, I have no doubt that it will last the test of time.

Overall I think the hitch is very well made and would have been easy to install except after I got the bumper off my 01 s10 the hitch wouldn't fit, I had to slightly bend the plates on each side of it to fit, I would just say that's because it was made in China but this hitch was made in America so that excuse won't work so we'll just say it was damaged in shipping. Anyways, after that it was smooth sailing. It took me 1 hour and 45 minutes to install by myself using power tools. I think it helps a lot if you use a floor jack to lift the hitch into place while putting bolts through.

Installed this myself with mostly hand tools and it took approx 3 hours. Mainly because the hitch came with no instructions in the box. However I later found some on the item listing and online. The hitch looks great, fits my truck well. I would suggest on install putting some medium strength threadlocker on bolts so they don’t vibrate out; just as an added level of protection.

I have a 1996 Chevy S10 Pickup. The is a perfect fit, and it looks amazing on my truck. The receiver end is just shy of the back edge of the step bumper, which keeps it out of shin knocking range.It did take me longer than the estimated 45 minutes to install. It was a very tight fit. Once I was able to shoehorn it on to the frame, the bolt holes lined up exactly. It was smooth sailing from there on.I used a 5 gal. bucket under each end to hold it up while I got it in place.
