Custom class 3 hitches are the most common type of receiver hitch for pickup trucks and SUVs. Because of their weight range, they are also found on full-size cars, crossovers and minivans. Each custom-fit class 3 hitch package is made for vehicle-specific mounting. This particular kit fits certain years of the Lexus NX250, NX350, NX350h, and NX450h+, and Toyota RAV4 and Venza (see application info to verify vehicle compatibility). It provides a weight carrying capacity of 4,500 lbs. GTW and 675 lbs. TW. It is also compatible with a weight distribution hitch for level towing and a rating of 4,500 lbs. WD and 675 lbs. WDTW. CURT class 3 trailer hitches are typically used to attach and haul utility trailers, boat trailers, campers, snowmobile or ATV haulers and more (NOTE: Never exceed the lowest-rated towing component). Each class 3 hitch has a 2" receiver tube and is tested in accordance with SAE J684 for safety. To ensure that CURT class 3 receiver hitches have what it takes for serious trailering, they are designed using a hands-on approach and are constructed with rugged, high-strength steel and precise welding. This should take about 30 minutes to install. It took me 3 hours on a 2025 RAV4 because my fat old hands took 100s of tries to thread the rearmost bolt on the passenger side.Seriously, this hitch is quite simple to install for D-I-Y ers.You will need a torque wrench, a 12mm socket, a 19mm socket, and a 19mm ratchet box wrench (fixed head, not flex). A jack is helpful to lift and hold the hitch in position, but you could easily get away with a few blocks of 2x4 to raise the hitch off the ground. The 12mm socket is to remove a tow hook which otherwise obstructs the installed hitch. The tow hook is attached to the frame by two (12mm drive) bolts. The 19mm socket is for bolting the hitch to the frame on the driver side. The 19mm ratchet box wrench is for bolting the hitch to the passenger side of the frame. The working room on the passenger side front bolt is very very tight quarters. The passenger side rear bolt is even worse.Included instructions are easy to follow. It is recommended to use a torque wrench, but that may be difficult to accomplish on the passenger side due to tight working room.

took 1 hour after i found the bolts wrapped inside the tongue. watched a video of guy installing a factory hitch from toyota and he had to take the entire back assembly off. fits tight. 5 stars. i have a rav 4 xse 2025

Perfect fit. Removed factory stickers on frame and factory tow hook thing. Bolted right up. Fits snug up under bumper with no cutting of bumper required. Installed on 2025 RAV4 XSE.
