I had a headlight bulb that pop out of its socket, which then melted the housing and section of a reflector, which in turn resulted in the light assembly being filled with a white powder residue. This required the entire assembly needing replacement. The new assembly fit my 2014 328i xDrive like a glove. It did require two of the lower adjustment screws from the old light to be installed, but it was a simple swap out. I've already referred the same light to a friend who had priced out a light assembly from a BMW dealer (it was, as expected, significantly more expensive).
