Might have high internal resistance because it uses aluminum wire instead of copper for its windings...not really sure. I installed it in an outside metal junction box and its running about 100deg F which seems rather warm, even with no load. Power on primary was 117V so no issue there. To be safe if it fries I installed a 1 amp fuse on the primary side.
