Wish there was a choice of oil rubbed bronze but the black faucet suitable to our decor. Was challenged to find a faucet the right height and length, even the base diameter because there was a bit over 2 inches to mount it. The taller versions had too large a diameter to fit between raised sink and backsplash. Works well.

I am happy with my faucet; it replaced a Delta Lahara that also had a generous spout height & depth. But the Lahara’s mounting stud/rod is positioned forward toward the faucet’s front edge (see photo of bottom view of my prior faucet). The mounting rod on the Nicoli is at its back/rear edge. The change of position relative to my countertop faucet hole proved awkward. The sink shown is a large TOTO under-mount 21-1/4” x 14” and for reasons mentioned I had to flip the mounting bracket (wrong side up) to fit within the resulting narrower gap; this made it difficult to squeeze in the water lines and thread the bolt tightening the mounting bracket.I purposely installed a big sink and faucet with a high spout to maintain a ritual of wetting my morning bed-head-hair beneath the faucet after washing my face. It remains to be seen if I like not having a drain stop pull rod (though proximity to my backsplash did cause problems); yhe pop-up drain has functioned nicely thus far.The first time I re-fitted the drain plumbing, trying to respect the directions, it leaked. Online I found a Delta video, “How to Install a Delta Push Pop Sink Drain” & at 1:35 in to its 5:51 length, the gasket/seal is thrown aside as the narrator explains that if your applying silicone (sealant) it’s not needed. My Lahara had an metal drain pipe connecting to plastic that was never a problem (for it I used plumber's putty); but in case plastic to plastic was an issue, I switched to a different coupling washer and it assembled fine; though a little out-of-plumb. Initially I used a small level to plumb the vertical section but after some bumps and fiddling & taking too much time the silicone began setting and not yielding nicely (first time using silicone in this manner). Regardless, 2nd try; no leaks. Normally if I later get a leak something is backing up the flow and I'll first try fixing things with plumber’s tape or a silicone bead (things that work but aren't recommended for plastic fittings).
