got this in a couple days and installed it myself thanks to the magic of a youtube video of the same repair. I am not Mr Mechanic, yet, did it in about 45 minutes. I did find the connection for the power mirror right behind the speaker, so had to pull it, but was easy enough. I changed one with the intent that if it looked too different, I would change the other side just to match, but found they looked fine together.

this Replacement product is 100% worth the money, and the product contains New fasteners.pros. Pull off door handle housing.3. disconnect wiring from handle housing.4. lift from the bottom up on door panel, and pull out towards you.5. remove door speaker, look inside the door speaker hole to you right inside and unplug the mirror.6. locate the three holes behind the mirror, use a 7/16 or 11mm socket to remove the three nuts.7. insert new mirror into the three holes and fasten the three nuts.

An intoxicated power pole moved right into my path as I was backing up and removed my passenger side rear view mirror. Angry. Upset. Damn pole. Called ford dealer. $111.00 PLUS LABOR Car Quest $59.00 Oriley's $104.00. Watched a video. Searched Amazon. Found this item and read the reviews. $27.99. Ordered. Post Office delivered it to the wrong address yesterday. Got it today. I'm in a wheelchair/ My wife installed it in an hour and a half. WORKS PERFECTLY. LOOKS GREAT.

For the price, I'll come straight out and say the product is worth it and I would recommend it. It was pretty easy to install, basically a single cord and plug. The finish was a bit glossier than my original mirror, but I feel like it's likely just from being brand new. It will get dirty and lose that shine before too long. Had to knock off a star because of a minor durability issue; the screws on this replacement mirror are driven into plastic housings on the mirror. The original mirror has metal housings. As I was screwing in one (1) of the three (3) screws to mount it, the housing snapped rendering that screw worthless (maybe could have just glued the crap outta it now that I'm thinking about it...), so I just left it with only 2 screws holding it in place. It's been fine and I think it will last long enough. I was fortunate that the screw housing I broke was the one furthest back to the tail of the truck as wind will be pressing it down there on it's it own; had it been the front screw I might have had to make some MacGyver moves lol :D

I'm Impressed with the quality & fit of this mirror for my 2001 Ford Ranger. I've replaced this side mirror before when someone broke off the original in a parking lot. Tha replacement had that distorted "fun house" reflection quality to it. THIS mirror has a nice clean clear reflection. Electrical connection for this powered mirror was about 3 inches longer than the original making it very simple to hook up. Highly recommended!
