It’s a nylon halter made to look fancier. For the price they did a great job. The only reason I’m giving the halter a 4 instead of 5 is because the big part over nose was real straight. We had to put it in a vise to curve it for several days so it didn’t look funny on the horses nose. But it did bend so that was good. For the price it’s a good halter and we loved the patriotic colors.

The leather piece comes flat so you really have to work with it to shape it in the curve. I oiled it, and wrapped it with a rubber band to help it. Halter was too big for our horse but we just put an extra hole in the buckle area so it worked. Looks great on our horse!

I got this halter for my Warmblood quarter horse, he is 16.1 hands. The halter fit him great and has more room to go. Any smaller horse like Arab or anything under 16 hands I would definitely recommend a smaller size. Overall the halter is nicely made. The front American flag nose piece comes a little flat but if formed to my gelding’s face in a matter of days. Really pleased. The only thing I have to complain about is that the big diamond on the side came off. But it was easily glued back on and that was after a long time of wear and tear. The halter still looks brand new and it was worth every penny!
