Let's get this out of the way right up front; this is a $10 collection of plastic parts so don't expect heirloom quality. This is great for a student's desk. The build quality is fine for what it is and does provide much needed order my granddaughters desk. It was so easy to assemble that she did it herself with zero assistance from me. The functionality and storage capacity are perfect for her needs. And did I mention is only 10 bucks? You won't find many deals like that these days. So, yeah, I do recommend this for the great functionality, organization, and value for your hard-earned dollar.

I can’t comfortably say that I am in love with this product. 🫤 It looks cheap, and feels cheap. But then again….what do you expect for something made of plastic that costs under $10? 🤷♀️ 😂 I mean — I certainly appreciate the low price point, but trust me: you get what you pay for. 🤪While it was fairly easy to assemble, I can’t seem to get the drawers to stay secure on the rest of the platform; they just keep sliding off. As you can imagine, that’s pretty frustrating. Maybe I have done something wrong during setup? I’m not sure, but it would be great if the drawers would just stay put! 😝 😜

One thing I really like about this organizer is that you can change the position of the metal dividers and drawers. Put the drawers on either end or slightly towards the middle (due to the hinge, you cannot put the drawers in the very center). You could even space out the meta dividers even more and use the drawers separately if you choose. For being a cheap plastic organizer, this is fairly sturdy. I haven't tried any super heavy books, but the ones I have tried, have been held with no issues. It could even hold file folders, but with the humidity in my area, they tend to bend down over time as the dividers aren't extra tall. I'm a bit torn on the base with the hinges - its nice that you can fold it when you need to store it, but as a stationary piece they can be in the way.It is really easy to assemble! Simply unfold the base, press the metal dividers into the desired holes and click the drawers onto the base. Simple press and snap on the drawer pulls and you're done! For my use its perfect! And at $9.99 (time of review) this is a good value.

For $9.99, I expected a cheap-looking item, but in all fairness, I have used dollar store products that were not bad, either, so cheap doesn't mean it has to be poor quality in every case. It is not like it's a super complicated product. I like the minimalist design and the way it is set up. It is very easy to put together. It can hold a lot of books and notebooks, but just to be safe, I don't think I will be using it for my heavy books, although the slot next to the drawers can easily support a heavier book. One slot can hold my incoming mail and maybe even papercraft projects I am working on. I added stickers and paper clips in the drawers. They can fit enough items for my needs. The tray at the top can hold a sticky note dispenser or a small notebook, and then you have two pencil/utensil holders. This could probably even be used in the bathroom. You can use the dividers to hold makeup palettes and then store other makeup items and brushes.I have no complaints about it, and I hope it lasts a long time. Unless I drop it on the floor, I don't see how I could easily damage it. I highly recommend it.

This desk organizer is made of lightweight plastic with metal U shape file holders. It is very easy to assemble. You just unfold the white plastic base, set the 2-drawer compartment on top in the position that you want it and then put the U shape metal pieces into the holes in the plastic base. You can assemble it as you want to, with the 2-drawer compartment on the left or on the right or in the center. It just sets on the top without being attached in any way, so you can rearrange anytime you need to. The drawers are sturdy and strong. They pull out, away from the compartment holder, without any catch or stopper, so you do have to be careful not to pull the drawer out all the way. But you can pull the drawer open most of the way and it will hang in place securely without tipping and without falling down. The file holders are pretty wide openings and you can not adjust the width of the openings, so you can not put loose papers in sideways without them curling. If you have a file folder as intended, then it works great. The file folder is not very strong so you can not put a single book or binder in there and have it rest on the file folder. If you have enough binders that actually fill the width of the file folder opening, then it works since they all stand upright just fine. I just rotated the tall books onto their sides, so there is less weight and pressure to lean. Also, it works great for me so I can still see my information on the bulletin board behind the desk organizer better with the books and binders on their sides. For the price, this is an amazing desk organizer.

I respectfully disagree with a previous reviewer who labeled this as sturdy. In my opinion, it's the opposite. It's flimsy and cheap. It also looks cheap. Maybe for a kid? I don't know. I would not recommend this item at all.
