A balanced and featherweight 5” ride equipped with just the right geometry make this the go-to XC/trail machine for those long rides we long for. Made from 6061-T6 Weapons Grade Aluminum, the Sortie Black Frameset features a tapered head tube, a hydroformed top tube, butted and formed down tubes and seatstays, an under arch seatstay bridge, a 142×12mm E-Thru Axle drop out, and oh yeah… our legendary Knuckle Box technology. Knuckle Box Technology LOW AND TIGHT – The Knuckle Box platform was designed specifically to be low and tight: -Low center of gravity: All suspension parts are positioned farther down on the frame for a stable and balanced ride. -Low leverage suspension design: Lower air pressure results in longer shock life, less frame loading and better pedaling. -Tight, compact linkage system of the Knuckle Box bell crank isolates and cradles the rear shock. -Tight and large anodized aluminum hardware, matched with Force-Rated Enduro Max Bearings: Withstands higher loads and better handles oscillating motion. The Sortie Black Frameset comes standard with: -Fox Float CTD adjust, Boost valve, “LV” eyelet, Kashima Coat -Easton EC90 Carbon Seat Post -DB Seat Clamp -Sealed cartridge bearing hub 142×12 -Shimano XTR E-Thru Axle -FSA headset, with both 1.5 and reducer 1 1/8 crown race
