This socket collar has no threads so it doesn't work on the threaded socket on an Ikea lamp.

Not sure why the reviews are as low as they are. We had two completely different types of lamps where the supplied rings were not doing the job. One resulted in the metal lamp shade and large bulb dropping and smashing on a table.These rings went on smooth and held everything tight. No issues with install or holding things together. For my experience and what I paid…….good deal. Therefore 5 stars.
